14U ('09 & '10 Birth Years)
Jr Mustangs one of three 14U Nationally Bound youth hockey program in Utah. If successful winning the State Title, in early April, 2024 Jr Mustangs can earn the ability to compete for the National Championship in Amherst, New York.
Jr Mustangs intend to form two 14U teams for the 2023-24 regular season. While only one team will play for a State title and the National Championship, both will train and compete at the highest possible level and will participate in competitive league play, tournaments and showcases.
Ages
Players born between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010 are eligible and encouraged to try out.
When
Tryouts will be held May 31 - June 3
The regular season begins in August and will extend into early April, 2024.
Where
Where are practices and games typically held?
Example: Practices and home games are held at the RecPlex. Games may be played across the metro region.
Practices
14U teams will practice ~2-3 times per week.
In total, 14U teams will have 75-80 hours of practice.
Games
14U teams will play ~40 games during the season including league play, tournaments and local games.
In early April, 2024 the Jr Mustangs Nationally Bound team can earn the ability play for the 14U National Championship in Amherst, NY.
Jerseys
Player is required to purchase matching team gear (jerseys, socks, gloves, warm-ups, etc.)

Extra Costs
Tuition includes practice and game ice, tournament fees, coach compensation and coach travel and other team fees.
Soft-goods, uniforms, equipment and player / parent travel is not included.
