16U ('07 & '08 Birth Years)
Jr Mustangs one of three 16U Nationally Bound youth hockey program in Utah. If successful winning the State Title, in early April, 2024 Jr Mustangs can earn the ability to compete for the National Championship in Dallas, Texas.
Jr Mustangs intend to form two 16U teams for the 2023-24 regular season. While only one team will play for a State title and the National Championship, both will train and compete at the highest possible level and will participate in competitive league play, tournaments and showcases.
Ages
Players born between January 1, 2007 and December 31, 2008 are eligible and encouraged to try out.
When
Tryouts will be held May 30 - June 3
The regular season begins in August and will extend into early April, 2024.
Where
The Jr Mustangs are based at the Weber County Ice Sheet but practices and home games will be held across the Wasatch Front.
Practices
16U teams will practice ~2-3 times per week.
In total, 16U teams will have 75-80 hours of practice.
Games
16U teams will play ~40 games during the season including league play, tournaments and local games.
In early April, 2024 the Jr Mustangs Nationally Bound team can earn the ability play for the 16U National Championship in Dallas, TX.
Jerseys
Player is required to purchase matching team gear (jerseys, socks, gloves, warm-ups, etc.)

Extra Costs
Tuition includes practice and game ice, tournament fees, coach compensation and coach travel and other team fees.
Soft-goods, uniforms, equipment and player / parent travel is not included.
